Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR at around 10.15 pm on Tuesday night. Tremors were also felt in UP, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Bihar. Its intensity was measured at 6.6. The epicentre of the earthquake remained in Afghanistan.
Apart from India, tremors were also felt in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and China. According to the Department of Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was Kalafgan, 90 km from Afghanistan.
People came out of their homes in panic due to the tremors of the earthquake. The tremors of the earthquake were felt for several seconds.
