Punjab Kings leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal captured four wickets in a hat-trick in the 19th over to dismiss Chennai Super Kings for 190 runs in 19.2 overs in the IPL match on Wednesday. Chennai's side was progressing towards a score of over 200 with the help of Sam Curran's great innings of 88 runs, but the break to Chennai's innings was put by Punjab Kings' spinner Yuzvendra Chahal with four wickets in the 19th over. On the second ball of this over, Chennai captain M S Dhoni was dismissed by Chahal, and on the fourth ball of the same over, Chahal dismissed Deepak Hooda, on the fifth ball dismissed Anshul Kamboj, and on the final ball, Noor Ahmed. Arshdeep dismissed Shivam Dubey on the second ball of the last over and ended Chennai's innings.

In the last 20 balls, Chennai's team scored only 30 runs and lost six wickets. They could not even play the full overs. Karan and Brevis's good innings had set the stage for 220, but Punjab's bowlers made a great comeback. Chahal took a hat-trick in the 19th over. Arshdeep bowled very economically. Overall, Punjab's team has made a great comeback. The wicket is very good for batting. However, spinners are expected to get help in the second innings.

Karan hit nine fours and four sixes in 88 runs off 47 balls. Brevis hit two fours and a six in 32 runs off 26 balls. Ravindra Jadeja scored 17 runs with the help of four fours in 12 balls. Dhoni hit one four and a six in 11 runs off four balls.

Karan scored 26 runs in the 16th over of the innings by Suryansh Shedge by hitting two sixes and two fours. But after losing five wickets in the last two overs, Chennai's innings got stuck at 190 runs.
