Suryansh Shedge: Mumbai's Emerging Team's tour of England is starting from June 28. Many players going on this tour already have first-class cricket experience. Suryansh Shedge has been made the captain of Mumbai's Emerging Team.



The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Monday appointed all-rounder Suryansh Shedge as captain for the Emerging Mumbai team's four-week tour of England. The tour of England for Mumbai's Emerging Team is going to commence from June 28. The players from Mumbai, who have been named for this tour, are those whom the Saurashtrian cricket fraternity can expect to emerge as big players in Mumbai cricket and Indian cricket. The names include those of Mushir Khan, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and HimanshuSingh.
Many players going on the England tour already have first-class cricket experience. They have played in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. This tour is an important opportunity to further hone their talent.
The Mumbai Emerging Team will play five two-day matches and four one-day matches against reputed teams like Nottinghamshire, Combined National Counties (Challengers), Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire on the England tour. MCA secretary Abhay Hadap described the tour as an important step for the all-around development of young cricketers.
