Donald Trump launches Made in America smartphone for $499

US President Donald Trump has long been urging the production of goods in the US itself. Now, even the telecom market has been entered by the Trump Organization on Monday. A self-branded mobile service and a smartphone for $499 were launched. The name given to it is Trump Mobile.

This service will be offered from September and will be priced at $47.45 a month. It will feature US-made phones and call centers based in the country itself.

Once the service had been announced, a site was set up, and details of the new Trump-brand smartphone were given. Over 60 million smartphones are purchased annually by American consumers. Now, nearly all are made overseas.

Announcing the product at Trump Tower, Donald Trump Jr., the president's eldest son, said, "We are going to offer a complete package of products, where people can come and get services on their phones for a fixed monthly fee."
