WhatsApp new update change the look of typing indicator
Update: This feature provides a new way to check the typing status of the person actively involved in the chat. Earlier this feature was visible only in the top banner. Its testing started in October and initially, it was available only to select beta testers. Now it has been launched on both iOS and Android platforms.

WhatsApp launched a new feature for mobile users, which makes it easier for users to join the chat in real-time on Thursday. Now the platform will show visual cues along with typing indicators to tell who is actively typing in the chat. This feature has become available in both individual and group chats.
The feature comes along with the voice message transcription that was introduced last month, allowing users to display the received voice message in text form.
According to a press release published by Meta Platforms, the new sign of typing will be indicated by "...", along with the profile picture at the bottom of the chat screen. The feature will be especially useful within a group chat when many might type at the same time.
