On Sunday, a record was set here by the highest temperature of 46.2 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature of April since 1969, while Barmer was where the state recorded its highest temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius.

According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of Jaipur Meteorological Center, yesterday was the hottest day in the month of April in Jaisalmer. A higher temperature than this was recorded in April in 1969, while the maximum temperature in April in 2018 was recorded at 46.1 degrees.

The capital Jaipur, is also expected to experience severe heat during the next 48 hours. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 42 degrees on Sunday, but now it may increase by more than 2 degrees.

On the other hand, if we talk about the temperature in other cities of the state, Barmer was the hottest during the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 46.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature of 40 degrees or more has been recorded in 27 cities of the state. The maximum temperature level is being recorded 4.7 degrees higher than normal, it is expected to increase rapidly in the next 2 days. The Meteorological Department says that during this period the maximum temperature may increase by 2 to 3 degrees. During this time, heat waves will run in most parts of the state during the day as well as at night. After this, there may be some relief from the heat due to the effect of strong western disturbance in May.

The temperature in other cities was as follows. The temperature in Jaisalmer was 46.2 degrees. The temperature was recorded at 43.4 degrees in Bikaner, 44.4 in Chittorgarh, 43.4 in Pilani, 42 in Jaipur, 42.2 in Churu, 43.8 in Ganganagar, 43.4 in Pilani, 40.9 in Karauli, 41.5 in Nagaur, 41.5 in Jalore and 41 degrees in Dholpur.
