A heavy rain warning has been issued in Rajasthan starting June 21. The Meteorological Department indicates a possibility of significant rain in the Kota and Bharatpur divisions on June 21 and 22. The southwest monsoon has reached Vadodara in Gujarat and parts of southwestern Madhya Pradesh, advancing from Maharashtra. Typically, it takes three days for the monsoon to reach Rajasthan from this point. Therefore, it is likely to arrive in Rajasthan by Friday or Saturday.

The Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a rain warning today for 26 districts across the Kota, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Bikaner divisions.

Yesterday, heavy rain was reported in Ajmer and Kota, resulting in flooded roads. Water was released by opening two gates of the Kota Barrage for about 15 minutes, discharging approximately 5,000 cusecs of water into the Chambal River.

The temperature in Rajasthan has dropped rapidly due to pre-monsoon rains. Until three days ago, the maximum temperature ranged between 45 and 50 degrees, but now it has fallen below 40 degrees in all cities. On Monday, the average maximum temperature in Rajasthan was between 32 and 39 degrees. The humidity level in Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur has risen above 75 percent, indicating a likelihood of rain. Meanwhile, humidity in Alwar reached 95 percent, 70 in Sikar, 81 in Ganganagar, and 65 percent in Ajmer.
