No intention of retirement, this is the next goal of badminton player PV Sindhu
Now PV Sindhu will compete in the Arctic Open Super 500 to be held in Finland from 8 to 13 October.
After a disappointing campaign at the Paris Olympics in 2024, veteran Indian women's shuttler PV Sindhu is eager to return to the badminton court after two months. PV Sindhu will now compete in the Arctic Open Super 500, which will be held in Finland from October 8 to 13.
The two-time Olympic medallist has relocated from Bengaluru to Hyderabad to train under Anoop Sridhar. She previously trained with Prakash Padukone in Bengaluru.
PV Sindhu's father PV Raman said that she is practicing at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. She will start with the Arctic Open in Finland. PV Sindhu's contract with Indonesia's Agus Dwi Santoso has ended. We are looking for a new coach. We are eager to see how the partnership with Anup Sridhar progresses. Apart from this, we are considering four to five more names. At present, Anup will train PV Sindhu in Hyderabad and will also accompany her to Finland.
PV Sindhu, 29, will compete in the Arctic Open Super 500 next month, hoping to end her two-year title drought. PV Sindhu last won the Singapore Open in 2022. She is currently ranked fourteenth in the world rankings. PV Sindhu has no intentions of retiring. Her next goal is the Asian Games 2026. However, her ability to compete in the Los Angeles Olympics 2028 will be determined by her physical fitness.
