Taiwan imposed export control on two big Chinese tech companies; Know what is the matter
Taiwan Export Control List: Taiwan has added China's leading tech companies, Huawei and SMIC, to its export control list. Now, Taiwanese companies will have to seek government approval before selling products to these firms.

Taiwan's Ministry of Commerce has placed two Chinese technology giants Huawei Technologies and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp, on its strategic list of high-tech export controls. Now, after being included on this list, Taiwanese companies must get approval from the government to send goods to these countries.
On Sunday, this list was renewed with global organizations such as Taliban and Al-Qaeda and several firms from China, Iran, and other nations. countries. Now, Huawei and SMIC have also become part of the same list, which has increased the global pressure on both companies.
The US has already imposed technical sanctions on both Huawei and SMIC. These companies are manufacturing domestically developed artificial intelligence (AI) chips in China to compete with US companies like NVIDIA.
Taiwan is home to the world's largest chip manufacturing company, TSMC, which supplies chips to US companies like NVIDIA. In November last year, the US had directed TSMC to stop supplying certain chips to Chinese customers.
China considers Taiwan as its part and has also talked about forcible occupation, while the US is Taiwan's largest informal ally and arms supplier. In such a situation, this decision is considered very important from a geopolitical point of view.
