Jaipur: A distressing incident of gang rape has surfaced in the Harmada area today, prompting swift action from Diya Kumari, Member of Parliament and BJP candidate from Vidyadhar Nagar. Upon receiving information about the incident, Kumari promptly visited the scene to take stock of the situation.
The MP expressed concern, stating that this case underscores the consequences of the government's failure to prioritize law and order, resulting in a compromised and ineffective police system. She directly attributed the insensitivity of the Congress Government and administration to such incidents.
Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for such violence, Kumari asserted that today's incident highlights the failure of the Congress Government. Criticizing the Congress candidate, she pointed out the lack of a timely response or visit from him or his representatives to check on the victim's condition after the heart-wrenching incident in Vidyadhar Nagar.
In a strong rebuke, Kumari questioned her opponent's priorities, suggesting that instead of conducting roadshows and garnering public support in the markets, he should have been present at the scene, showing concern for the victim. She underscored the importance of immediate action and understanding the pain of the victim.
Kumari asserted her commitment to standing against any form of harm to women, stating that if anyone targets her daughter, mother, or sister, they will have to face her first. She highlighted her consistent support for the families affected by such incidents in the state.
The event witnessed the presence of a large number of people, including ward councilors and workers, all united in their resolve to uproot the Congress party.
