Actress Sonyaa Ayoddhya marked India’s 79th Independence Day with an inspiring message about the country’s values and the true meaning of freedom.
“Compassion and kindness are highly evolved states of being, and my heart swells with pride knowing I come from a country rooted in these values,” Sonyaa wrote in her post. She spoke about India’s hospitality, calling it “arguably the best in the world” and saying it shows how welcoming Indians are.
She also reminded people that even though history shows India has been taken advantage of, it proves that kindness should never be mistaken for weakness. “We have always known how to stand our ground and reclaim what is rightfully ours, just as we reclaimed our freedom,” she said.
