It has been raining continuously in Jaipur for the last two days. At times, light showers and sometimes heavy rains have checked the pace of the city. 89 mm of rain has been reported at Jaipur Airport in the morning. There is immense waterlogging on the roads because of the ongoing rain. The condition of the roads was poor anyway; now the ongoing rain has deteriorated further. Many drivers are falling into accidents due to falling into potholes on the roads. Water has filled up to the knees in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the activity of the monsoon may continue for the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is expected in Jaipur and its surrounding districts. Also, heavy rain may occur in some areas.

Due to heavy rains on Saturday, a 100-feet-long wall collapsed on the Amer Palace road. According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall of 102 mm (4 inches) was recorded in the Chomu area on Saturday, while heavy rains were also recorded in Govindgarh. The Meteorological Department has predicted the continuation of rain in Jaipur and the surrounding areas and has advised citizens to remain alert. Rain continued in Jaipur from 8 am yesterday to 8 am today, during which the highest rainfall of 7 inches was recorded in Chomu.

Radheshyam Sharma, Director of Meteorological Center Jaipur, said - The cyclonic circulation has come over south-western Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan. The monsoon trough line is passing through Ganganagar, Churu, Gwalior (MP), Satna (MP), Daltonganj (Jharkhand) on Friday to the low-pressure system formed in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this system, it has been raining continuously in Rajasthan since Friday. There is a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in Rajasthan for the next three to four days. An alert for normal rain has been issued in Jaipur during this period.
