Angela Krislinzki Shares Life-Changing Experience with Stray Dog
Angela Krislinzki recounts a life-saving encounter with a stray dog amid Delhi’s street dog verdict.
In the aftermath of the Supreme Court's landmark decision to remove stray dogs from Delhi streets and place them in shelters, actress Angela Krislinzki voiced a deeply personal narrative that redefines the perception of street animals.
Recalling an unsettling evening in Delhi, Krislinzki described, “I was on a deserted street, and I realised someone was following me. My heart was pounding. Then, out of nowhere, a stray dog appeared and started walking by my side.” The tense encounter unfolded in a remarkable manner. “The man following me suddenly slowed down and eventually turned away. That dog walked with me till I reached my gate, wagged his tail, and quietly left,” she recounted. Her gratitude was palpable as she reflected, “That night, I understood how selfless and protective animals can be, even without knowing you.”
This transformative moment shifted Krislinzki’s views on stray dogs, leading her to embrace advocacy for animal welfare more passionately. At her home, she cares for two dogs and remains committed to helping the strays in her neighborhood. The incident ignited a conviction that animals are not just bystanders in the urban landscape, but often invisible guardians who offer safety and companionship without expectation.
