Bigg Boss 19 House Unveiled with 'Democracy' Theme

As anticipation builds around Salman Khan's much-awaited reality show Bigg Boss 19, the first glimpse of the newly designed house has been officially released. Slated to premiere on August 24, the new season promises unique changes and design innovations—most notably, a house built on the theme of democracy.

Following the success of 18 seasons, Bigg Boss 19 brings a fresh concept into the limelight. Designed once again by the acclaimed director Omung Kumar and his wife Vanita Omung Kumar, the house has been thoughtfully crafted to resemble a democratic setup—complete with an Assembly Room, symbolic animal motifs, and secret passageways.

Inside the House: “Cabin in the Woods” Aesthetic

Creative Head Rohan Manchanda shared that this year’s house draws inspiration from a “Cabin in the Woods” theme. The set uses wooden textures and earthy tones to create a rustic, forest-like environment. Animal symbols are strategically placed to depict the feeling of being ‘trapped’—a direct metaphor for the contestants' confined experience inside the house.

Garden Area and Living Room

This season’s garden space is more expansive, though it appears deliberately cluttered. Randomly placed furniture elements add to the chaotic visual narrative. The gym area is compact compared to previous seasons. The living room features oversized animal sculptures, parrot figurines above the kitchen, and a bull’s head mounted above the confession room door—enhancing the thematic depth.

Kitchen and Bedroom

The kitchen is now smaller and seamlessly connected to the living area. In contrast, the bedroom offers a cozy vintage feel. Notably, there are no single beds this time—only double and one triple bed setup, encouraging closer interactions among housemates.

Assembly Room and Bathroom

The most symbolic addition is the Assembly Room—a democratic space where major decisions will be debated and taken. While Bigg Boss will still serve as the ultimate authority, contestants will have greater control over the game dynamics. The bathroom area remains similar to previous editions, with updated wallpaper and color schemes.

No Jail, But Secret Doors

In a surprising twist, the iconic jail setup has been removed. Instead, 8–10 secret doors have been added to the house architecture, which will play key roles as the season progresses. Punishments will still exist, but through more imaginative methods.

Bigg Boss 19 will first stream on JioCinema before its TV premiere on Colors. With a refreshing design and deeper gameplay format, this season is expected to redefine audience expectations yet again.
