The Motor Vehicle Aggregator Policy will soon be implemented in Rajasthan. During a session in the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa announced that the central government has sent guidelines to the state governments on this matter, which are currently under review. He mentioned that discussions are underway with relevant departments to draft the policy and that it will be revised to meet the state's needs.

The Deputy Chief Minister also clarified that the state's goal is not only to regulate app-based cab services but also to ensure transparency and safety for consumers. He noted that in recent years, numerous complaints have been raised regarding fare fixation, licensing, and security issues related to aggregator companies like Ola and Uber, which need to be addressed.

This central government policy aims to bring app-based taxi operations within a structured framework. It will require aggregator companies to obtain licenses, register drivers, set maximum fare limits, and implement safety measures for customers. Additionally, state governments are granted the authority to amend these rules as needed.

Dr. Bairwa stated that after the draft policy is finalized, it will be presented to the cabinet for approval before being enforced in the state. Currently, a team of officials is comparing it with policies from other states to develop a practical and effective plan for Rajasthan.

Once the new policy is implemented, passengers can expect features such as fixed fares, transparent billing, driver background checks, real-time tracking, and emergency response options. Accountability will also be established with aggregator companies, and licenses can be canceled if irregularities are found.
