Uproar over cleaning staff recruitment: Valmiki Samaj announced to boycott work tomorrow

There has been a ruckus with the release of the recruitment of 13 thousand 184 posts of cleaning workers. In protest against the recruitment with reservations for different classes, the sweepers of Valmiki Samaj across the state have announced to go on an indefinite strike from tomorrow. Because of this, on April 25, the cleaning system in many cities of the state including Jaipur may go off the rails. Safai Karamchari, Chief Health Inspector, Health Inspector will be on strike.
This decision was taken by the people of Valmiki Samaj at Municipal Corporation Greater Headquarters today. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that recruitment on the pattern of 2018 would not be allowed. The government has made a promise to us, due to which the cleaning workers of Valmiki Samaj have announced to go on strike from tomorrow. President of United Valmiki and Safai Shramik Sangh, Nandkishore Dandoria said that on the lines of 2018, recruitment is being done for the vacant posts of sweepers. The cleaning staff had already made it clear that if the recruitment of cleaning staff was done with reservation, then the cleaning system of the city would come to a standstill.
That's why we will not come to work until the government removes the reservation of posts and gives priority to the Valmiki community in the recruitment of sweepers. Dandoria said that prior to the year 2018, priority should be given to the employees who had done cleaning work on contract. In cleaning recruitment 2023, priority should be given to those whose cases are under consideration in the court and the court has issued orders for an appointment. Recruitment of 30,000 sweepers should be done on the basis of staff patterns in the entire Rajasthan.
