Child Welfare Committee Sirohi, displaying human sensibilities, handed over a 7-year-old abandoned child safely to his family on Saturday. The child was found abandoned and helpless at Abu Road Railway Station one day earlier. The child and his family members got overwhelmed with emotion during a reunion with the family.

Around 10 o'clock on the night of 11th of April 2025, the Railway Police Force encountered a 7-year-old boy alone at Abu Road Railway Station. During preliminary questioning, it was elicited that the minor had detached from his family at some other station and inadvertently arrived at Abu Road station. Railway Police, with their alacrity, brought the child to Ms. Ratan Bafna, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, for lodging him.

There he talked to the child affectionately. During the conversation, the child told the names and mobile numbers of his parents. Based on the information received, the child's father was contacted. As soon as the news of the son was received, the family became emotional, and immediately the child was made to talk on the phone. This moment was very touching. At night itself, the committee chairman ordered to temporarily shelter the child in the Government Juvenile Home so that his safety could be ensured.

The next day, on Saturday, the child's father appeared before the Child Welfare Committee. After checking and verifying the documents, committee member Shri Prakash Mali formally handed over the child to his father. As soon as he met his father, the child burst into tears. This scene brought tears to the eyes of all the people present there.

Along with the Child Welfare Committee, many other officers and workers also contributed to this noble work. The presence of Superintendent of Government Juvenile Home Shri Ranchhod Kumar, Protection Officer Shri Kanhaiya Lal, social worker Shri Jitendra Kumar, Child Helpline Coordinator Shri Manohar Singh and case worker Shri Himanshu was commendable.
