Speaking to news agency ANI, Sunel said that high-level delegations from Turkey come to India every two weeks to participate in the G20 meetings. He recalled the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to India to attend the G20 summit in Delhi.
On India's relations with Turkey, Firat Sunel said, "Our relations are historical. You know that our relations have their roots in history and it has grown stronger over the years. I would like to emphasize that under the leadership of India, The G20 Presidency was very successful. Almost every two weeks we have had ministers and deputy ministers accompanied by high-level delegations from Turkey.
“Our President Erdogan, the Foreign Minister and the Speaker of Parliament were present in India at the G20 event, so it was a multilateral event, but it is not just a multilateral event. Every meeting means the government of Turkey and India coming together. Our relations are very Sweet and going in a good direction.”
Erdogan had come to Delhi in September to participate in the G20 summit organized under the chairmanship of India. On the sidelines of the G20 summit, he also held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed ways to strengthen infrastructure.
On the other hand, Argentine Ambassador to India Hugo Javier Gobbi has also described his relations with India as deep and cordial. He said that he is very satisfied that in the last few years, relations between the two countries have grown and there has been development in all areas such as economy, trade, defence, science and technology.
In an interview with ANI, Hugo Xavier Gobbi said it was a process that started several years ago, but relations between the two countries have grown in the last five years.
