Be careful now if you also keep a vehicle parked at home because now challan can be issued for the car-bike parked at home. Recently, many vehicle owners have registered a case of challan being issued for vehicles parked at home. People are surprised to see the challan online because they have a four-wheeler and the challan is coming for a two-wheeler.

Police investigation has revealed that people are changing the number plate of stolen vehicles and driving them. When such vehicles violate any traffic rule, then a challan is made in the name of the real owner of that number. Since the challan process is online and the challan is being made by scanning the number plate with traffic cameras, there is a problem in catching such vehicles on the spot of challan.

Actually, such recent cases have come to light in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. According to media reports, people have registered cases of challans being issued for vehicles parked at home in many police stations in Ranchi. After this, the police have intensified the investigation of such vehicles. According to the report, stolen vehicles are roaming in the city by changing the number plate to hide their identity.

Such a case is where it is speculated that someone else can use the number of your vehicle. These are done either for the concealing of stolen vehicles or to avoid fines after the breaking of rules of traffic. The problem has been exposed through automatic cameras installed in different areas of the city.

Most of the squares and crossroads of Ranchi started issuing challans through automatic cameras instead of traffic police. Whosoever commits a violation of the traffic rule, the moment it happens, his number gets recorded in the camera and the challan is issued online. However, to save themselves from challans, some have started doing these tricks: sticking a bandage or putting cloth on the number plate.

If the challan of your vehicle has been issued wrongly, then you have to immediately report it to the office of the Traffic SP. According to Ranchi Police, in such a situation, the vehicle owner will have to give an application, after which the challan will be canceled. Also, those using fake number plates will be identified and strict action will be taken against them.

The traffic department has so far caught more than a dozen such vehicles, whose number plates were tampered with. Continuous action is being taken against those who put a cloth or stick a bandage on the number plate to avoid challan.
