Rajasthan Monsoon Update: The southwest monsoon has almost entered Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 8 districts of the south-eastern part of Rajasthan today. The humidity level in the air has reached 100 percent in many districts.

There is a possibility of heavy monsoon rain in the southern parts of Rajasthan starting today. The IMD has not yet officially announced the arrival of the monsoon in Rajasthan. However, the southwest monsoon reached very close to the southern border, in Dungarpur-Banswara, on Tuesday morning.
The Meteorological Department predicted that it would enter Rajasthan within the next 24 hours. Additionally, a warning of heavy rain has been issued for 8 districts in the southeastern part of Rajasthan today. These include Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Pratapgarh, and Sirohi.
On Tuesday, rainfall exceeded normal levels in over 23 districts, including the capital, Jaipur. Sikar recorded the highest rainfall, totaling about 70 mm. During this time, an 8-year-old child died in Deeg due to lightning, while another child suffered severe burns to the hand.
If the monsoon speed continues, it will reach Jaipur in the next 3 to 4 days. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in the state from June 21. According to the department, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain in the Kota and Bharatpur divisions on June 21 and 22.
In the last 24 hours, more than 37 mm of rain was recorded in Jaipur. At the same time, most parts of eastern Rajasthan, including Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Tonk, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Alwar, and Ajmer, received 1 to 3 inches of rain. Alwar, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu received about 10 to 70 mm of rain.
