Rajasthan Freezes: Day Temperatures Fall Below 30°C Across Most Districts
Rajasthan News: Cold winds from North India have intensified the cold in Rajasthan. The temperature in Fatehpur dropped to 4.9°C. Maximum temperatures remained below 30°C in most districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow cold wave alert in five districts and predicts continued cold for the next five days.
Rajasthan is freezing. Chilly winds blowing from northern states have aggravated the cold in Rajasthan. For the last one week, the mercury has been falling continuously. On Monday, the minimum temperature in most cities fell below 5°C. Along with this, the cold increased during the day, following which the maximum temperature remained below 30°C in all districts except Bikaner, Jodhpur, Barmer, and Phalodi. The Meteorological Department issued a yellow cold wave alert in five districts on November 18. It is predicted that dry weather will prevail for the next five days and there is no possibility of getting any relief from the cold. The minimum temperature of 4.9°C was recorded in Fatehpur of Sikar district in the last 24 hours. Sikar, Fatehpur, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Ajmer, Tonk and Kota were the most affected by the cold wave. Minimum temperatures in the state are deviating from normal by around 1 to 6 degrees. A cold wave alert has been issued today in Jhunjhunu, Kota, Sikar and Tonk. Talking about the capital Jaipur, the minimum temperature here may decrease by 3 to 4 degrees in the next one week.
The minimum temperatures were recorded at Kota 10.6°C, Sikar 5.5°C, Jhunjhunu 9.2°C, Nagaur 5.6°C, Churu 8°C, Baran 7.7°C, Jalore 7.4°C, Karauli 7.6°C, Ajmer 9.8°C, Bhilwara 8.6°C, Tonk (Vanasthali) 7.9°C, Alwar 8°C, Chittorgarh 8.2°C, Udaipur 8.5°C, and Jaipur 11.8°C.
Day temperatures in most cities remained below 30°C. The maximum temperature was recorded at 26.4°C in Karauli, 26.4°C in Pratapgarh, 27°C in Bhilwara, 26.6°C in Alwar, 28.4°C in Jaisalmer, 27°C in Udaipur, 27.3°C in Kota and 28.4°C in Jaipur. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 32.2°C in Barmer. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of northern winds will continue and the cold may increase further in the coming days.
