Redmi Turbo 5 Max Brings 100W Charging and 9000mAh Battery to Mid-Range
The Redmi Turbo 5 series has been launched, consisting of the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. These smartphones feature powerful features like the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, up to a 9000mAh battery, and HyperOS 3. Prices start at CNY 2,299 (approximately ₹30,000) with various RAM and storage options.
The Redmi Turbo 5 series has been launched in China. Two smartphones in this series, namely Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max, have been launched in the market. The Redmi Turbo 5 Max has been launched in four different colors, whereas the Redmi Turbo 5 has been launched in three different colors. The key specifications of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max include a 9000mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. This phone has been launched in the market with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage.
The base model of Redmi Turbo 5 has been launched in China with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage for a price tag of CNY 2,299, which translates to Rs. 30,000. Along with this, the company has launched two more models - 12GB+512GB and 16GB+256GB - for CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 34,000). The top model of this phone has been introduced with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for CNY 2,899 (approximately Rs. 38,000). This phone is available in Auspicious Cloud White, Shadow Black, and Shallow Sea Blue color options.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max comes in a base variant with 12GB+256GB storage, priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 33,000). The second variant with 16GB+256GB is priced at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 37,000). The third variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 40,000). The top variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs. 44,000). The phone is available in Auspicious Cloud White, Sea Breeze Blue, Shadow Black, and Sun Orange colors.
The Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max come with dual SIM support and run on Xiaomi's latest HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59-inch (1,268x2,756 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz, and a peak brightness of 3500 nits. The display supports Wet Hand Touch 2.0. The Turbo 5 Max features a 6.83-inch (1,280x2,772 pixels) AMOLED display. The features of this display are similar to the standard Turbo.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is powered by an octa-core 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset clocked at 3.73GHz. The Turbo 5, on the other hand, comes with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip clocked at 3.4GHz. Both phones come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Both phones are rated IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K.
In terms of photography, the Redmi Turbo 5 series features a dual rear camera setup. Both phones feature an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) ultrawide camera. The Turbo 5 Max features a 50-megapixel (f/1.5) Light Hunter 600 lens, while the Turbo 5 features a 50-megapixel (f/1.5) Sony IMX882 primary shooter. Both phones feature a 20-megapixel (f/2.2) front-facing camera.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is powered by a 9,000mAh battery, while the Turbo 5 is powered by a 7,560mAh battery. Both Redmi phones offer 100W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. Both phones offer 5G, 4G LTE, a USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The Turbo 5 Max supports Wi-Fi 7, while the Turbo 5 supports Wi-Fi 6.
