Indian Team Athlete Rohit Jangid Meets Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma in Jaipur

Jaipur, Rajasthan: Indian Wushu and Kickboxing national team athlete Rohit Jangid paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, at Raj Bhawan, Jaipur. The meeting witnessed the presence of senior athletes, sports enthusiasts, Governor’s representatives, police officials, and political leaders, making it a significant event for the state’s sports community.
Rohit presented a bouquet to the Chief Minister and expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that the consistent support, recognition, and athlete-friendly policies of the Rajasthan government have greatly contributed to enhancing players’ performance at national and international levels.
About Rohit Jangid
Rohit Jangid was born on 5 August 1993 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, into a middle-class family. His father, Rajesh Jangid, is a furniture maker/dealer, and his mother, Sunita Jangid, is a homemaker. Rohit has a younger brother, Rahul Jangid, and a sister. Notably, Rahul is also a national medalist in Wushu, making the Jangid family a leading martial arts family in Rajasthan.
Rohit began training in martial arts at the age of 16 under his first coach, Rajesh Taylor, laying the foundation for his international career. Today, he is recognized as one of India’s top Wushu and Kickboxing athletes, known for his discipline, fitness, and vegetarian lifestyle.
International Achievements of Rohit Jangid
Rohit has represented India in several prestigious global Wushu tournaments:
2014 – Bronze Medal, 12th Hong Kong International Wushu Championship
2016 – Bronze Medal, 9th World International Wushu Championship, Georgia
2018 – Gold Medal, World Championships (WKC), Dublin, Ireland
2021 – Silver Medal, South Asian Wushu Championship, Nepal
These accolades have established him as one of India’s most consistent international Wushu performers.
