Ashnoor Kaur on Playing Virgo in 'Jabb Zodiacs Met'
Ashnoor Kaur shares her excitement about portraying a perfectionist Virgo in the zodiac-themed web series Jabb Zodiacs Met, praising its fresh concept and young team.
Popular television actress Ashnoor Kaur has opened up about her latest role as Vini, a quintessential Virgo, in the newly launched web series Jabb Zodiacs Met. The 12-episode show, streaming on Director’s Kut Productions' official YouTube channel, explores modern love stories through the lens of the 12 zodiac signs, blending humor, emotion, and relatable chaos.
Produced under Rajan Shahi's banner and created by Ishika Shahi, the series has quickly caught attention for its innovative premise—something Ashnoor herself found refreshingly unique. "It was a very intriguing concept, as something like this was never done before," she shared in a recent conversation. As someone who enjoys reading about zodiac signs and their traits, Ashnoor said the role allowed her to dive deep into research. "Personally also, I like reading about zodiacs and their personality traits, so as an actor, I also got to do a lot of homework, and it was very interesting."
Her episode, focused on the Virgo sign, highlights Vini's perfectionist nature while revealing a more layered side where she learns to let go. Ashnoor explained the challenge of bringing depth to a character often reduced to stereotypes. "She is a perfectionist every time as a Virgo. But there is also another side of her where she is kind of letting go," she noted. Drawing from her own zodiac identity as a Taurus, she reflected on how signs are compartmentalized: "In real life I am a Taurus, some particular Taurus trait described are listening to your heart, being there for your close ones, and being very upfront about how I am feeling."
She emphasized that real people—and zodiac signs—have more nuance than popular descriptions suggest. "I think every zodiac sign has been compartmentalized to being a certain way. However, every person and zodiac has layers to them, so to justify that was kind of challenging."

Working with Ishika Shahi added to the project's appeal. Being in the same age group brought a shared energy and perspective. "She is a darling, and I always feel that with younger ideas and with all the youngers working towards a project, there is a kind of freshness to it and a new Gen Z approach, and that really appeals to the audience," Ashnoor said warmly. She praised Ishika's collaborative spirit: "She is wonderful to work with, and I wish her all the best for all her future ventures, and she will achieve great things."
On the broader theme of love and destiny, Ashnoor offered a balanced view. While she believes cosmic connections and zodiac traits influence personality significantly, she doesn't follow them blindly. "I don't have a blind trust, but somewhere they do define your personality traits greatly, but then there are exceptions always." Her key takeaway from the series is optimistic: "When some things don't work out for you, God always has better plans."
Looking ahead, Ashnoor expressed enthusiasm for more diverse roles. If the stars aligned for her next project, she would love to step into action territory. "I am really looking forward to an action genre with bikes and action sequences," she revealed, envisioning herself as a warrior princess.
Jabb Zodiacs Met, directed by Rishi Mandial and based on a concept by Pearl Grey, features distinct stories for each zodiac sign, with Ashnoor's Virgo chapter standing out for its emotional range. The series has resonated with viewers seeking light-hearted yet meaningful takes on relationships and self-discovery, proving that even in the digital space, fresh storytelling can spark meaningful conversations.
As the episodes continue to roll out and gain traction, Ashnoor's thoughtful performance adds another strong credit to her evolving portfolio, showcasing her ability to bring authenticity to contemporary narratives. Fans can catch the full series on Director’s Kut Productions' YouTube channel, where the blend of astrology, romance, and Gen Z sensibilities continues to unfold.
