NHAI will track 100 toll plazas; For Seamless travel there will be live monitoring of traffic
The National Highway Authority of India i.e. NHAI is now going to monitor 100 toll plazas of the country through GIS-based software. This will be able to identify long queues of vehicles at the toll plaza and do live monitoring. This will promote the use of technology in traffic management on the highway. Real-time monitoring of toll will be possible.
NHAI will initiate monitoring through GIS-based software in the toll plaza. The NHAI will do this work so that the traffic on the national highway can run smoothly without obstacles. An official statement has been issued by NHAI about this. These 100 toll plazas have been identified on the basis of congestion feedback received through 1,033 National Highway Helplines. At present, the use of GIS-based software is being started from 100 toll plazas, but soon its number will be increased.
