PM Modi Highlights 11 Years of Women-Led Development: Nari Shakti Powering Viksit Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a series of remarks on social media, lauded the pivotal role of Indian women in shaping a developed India. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to women-led development over the past 11 years, the Prime Minister noted how “Nari Shakti” is no longer just participating but leading from the front in every field — from education and entrepreneurship to the armed forces.

He reflected on the journey of Indian women who have transitioned from struggling at every step to now becoming symbols of inspiration and empowerment. PM Modi asserted that the achievements of women over the last decade are a source of pride for every Indian.

Highlighting key initiatives, he said that schemes such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan restored dignity to women, while Jan Dhan Yojana ensured financial inclusion. The Ujjwala Yojana made millions of kitchens smoke-free, directly impacting women’s health and convenience. Through the MUDRA loan scheme, countless women became entrepreneurs and started independent ventures.

A significant milestone, according to the PM, has been the provision of homes under PM Awas Yojana in women’s names — boosting their financial and social security. Additionally, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative emerged as a nationwide movement for protecting and nurturing the girl child.
