Rajasthan Weather: Cloudy skies across several cities in Rajasthan caused temperatures to drop by 2 to 4 degrees. The Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for dust storms and rain in some districts on March 14, and a warning for thunderstorms and rain in 18 districts on March 15.

Weather Update: Temperature Drops in Rajasthan as Cloudy Skies Bring Relief

Due to cloudy weather, the mercury level dropped in several cities of Rajasthan. In many places, the mercury level dropped by 2 to 4 degrees. In the Shekhawati region, the temperature remained below 35 degrees, giving people a respite from the heat. 

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, a yellow alert has been issued for cloudy weather, dust storms, and light rain in five districts of Rajasthan. This weather is likely to occur on March 14 (today). There is a warning for thunderstorms and rain in 18 districts of Rajasthan on March 15. 

On Friday, there was a cloud cover over Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Nagaur, and surrounding areas, including Alwar. The mercury level dropped in these areas. The maximum temperature in Churu, Sikar, and Jhunjhunu remained below 35 degrees Celsius.

Barmer recorded the highest temperature in the state at 39.6 degrees Celsius. Jodhpur also recorded 38.1 degrees Celsius, Pali 38.2 degrees Celsius, Kota and Chittorgarh 37.6 degrees Celsius, Vanasthali (Tonk) 37.2 degrees Celsius, Bhilwara and Ajmer 36 degrees Celsius, Udaipur and Jaisalmer 36.4 degrees Celsius, Baran and Jalore 36.5 degrees Celsius, Pratapgarh 36.3 degrees Celsius, Sirohi 35.6 degrees Celsius, and Bikaner 35 degrees Celsius.

Cloudy skies for two consecutive days caused temperatures in the Shekhawati region to drop below 35 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees in Jhunjhunu, 32.7 degrees in Sikar, 34.2 degrees in Pilani, 33.3 degrees in Ganganagar, and 30.2 degrees in Hanumangarh. The drop in temperature brought relief from the intense heat.

The capital Jaipur has also seen a slight drop in temperatures over the past two days. On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.4 degrees, and the sky remained overcast from afternoon until late evening.
