India Meteorological Department Issues Alert as Weather Set to Change Again in Rajasthan
Rajasthan Weather: Due to the impact of a Western Disturbance, light rain and hail fell in Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, and Sriganganagar on Sunday. The drop in temperatures brought relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has predicted another storm and rain from March 18th.
Due to the impact of a Western Disturbance over Rajasthan, the weather changed across several districts on Sunday, with light rain and hailstorms reported in some areas. Rainfall was recorded in the districts of Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, and Sriganganagar, bringing temperatures down by about 3 degrees and providing relief from the heat.
Hailstorms were also observed in some districts of the state. Pea-sized hailstones fell for about 10 minutes in Tapukda, Bhiwadi, Alwar district, and Sangaria, Hanumangarh.
This change in weather also affected temperatures. Hanumangarh recorded a maximum temperature of 26.9 degrees Celsius, a drop of 3.7 degrees compared to March 14th. The maximum temperature in Sriganganagar was 32 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, temperatures of 34.4 degrees Celsius were recorded in Churu, 34.6 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 35.2 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 33 degrees Celsius in Sikar, 31.4 degrees Celsius in Alwar, 33 degrees Celsius in Karauli, 34 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur (Sikar), 33.5 degrees Celsius in Nagaur, and 33.2 degrees Celsius in Jhunjhunu. The highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 38.6 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh.

The weather in Jaipur remained clear and sunny throughout the day. Despite light winds, the maximum temperature rose to 35.7 degrees Celsius. Near Jaipur, Dausa recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius, Vanasthali (Tonk) 36.3 degrees Celsius, and Ajmer 34.6 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, the weather in the state will remain clear from March 16th to 17th, and the temperature may rise slightly due to sunshine. However, the weather is likely to change once again from the evening of March 18th.
According to Meteorological Department Director Radheshyam Sharma, a strong Western Disturbance may become active in the state from March 18th, with the effect of thunderstorms, rain, and sometimes hailstorms across different parts of Rajasthan between March 18th and 21st. An alert has also been issued for 12 districts on March 18th.
