Heat Wave-Like Conditions in Rajasthan; Temperatures 4-6°C Above Normal
Rajasthan Weather News: Summer has arrived early in Rajasthan, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees in many cities, with Barmer recording 35.8 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, bright sunshine will prevail until Monday, while a western disturbance, which will become active on February 17th, is likely to bring clouds, winds, and light rain to some districts.
Summer has started early in Rajasthan. On Sunday, many districts, including Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Phalodi, recorded temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius during the day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius in Barmer, which recorded the highest temperature on that day. According to a forecast by the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, dry and sunny weather will prevail over the state on Monday too. However, a change in the weather will be seen after a western disturbance becomes active on February 17th, which will impact many districts in the Jaipur and Bikaner division.
Over the past 24 hours, most cities in the state experienced bright sunshine. Temperatures of 33.8 degrees Celsius were recorded in Jaisalmer, 33.1 in Jodhpur, 32.8 in Bikaner, 32.6 in Jalore, 31.3 in Dausa, 31.2 in Nagaur, and 31 degrees Celsius in Ajmer. The mercury also hovered between 30 and 31 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, Pilani, Udaipur, Sriganganagar, Pali, and Karauli. According to the Meteorological Department, maximum temperatures in many cities are being recorded 4 to 6 degrees above normal. The morning and evening chill has now almost subsided, and the minimum temperature has also reached above 13 degrees Celsius.
According to Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma, due to the western disturbance that has been active since February 17, many areas, including Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, and Sriganganagar, are likely to experience cloudy skies, strong winds, and light rain or drizzle at some places.
According to temperatures recorded in the last 24 hours in major cities of the state on February 15th, Ajmer recorded a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 12.4 degrees Celsius, while Alwar recorded 28.8 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius, Jaipur recorded 30.9 degrees Celsius and 14.6 degrees Celsius, and Pilani recorded 30.6 degrees Celsius and 11.2 degrees Celsius. Sikar recorded a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.5 degrees Celsius, Kota recorded 31.3 degrees Celsius and 12.4 degrees Celsius, Chittorgarh recorded 32.6 degrees Celsius and 12.4 degrees Celsius, and Udaipur recorded 30.2 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius. Barmer recorded a maximum of 35.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 15.2 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer recorded 33.8 degrees Celsius and 14.8 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur recorded 33.1 degrees Celsius and 12.5 degrees Celsius, and Bikaner recorded 32.8 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius. Churu recorded 31.5 and 11, Sriganganagar 30.4 and 12.4, Nagaur 31.2 and 9.1, Baran 29.5 and 10.4, Jalore 32.6 and 9.7 and Sirohi 28.6 and 9.2 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur recorded 30 and 7, Karauli 30.4 and 8.4, Dausa 31.3 and 9.4, Pratapgarh 29.6 and 16.9, Jhunjhunu 29.9 and 11.5 and Pali 30.1 and 5.6 degrees Celsius.
