Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2026 against England, snatching the match from the English team.

Although India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took just one wicket in the semi-final match against England, his tight bowling with an economy of 8.20 was instrumental in India’s victory. Even Stuart Broad and Steven Finn, former England bowlers, hailed Jasprit Bumrah as the best fast bowler of all time.
Bumrah bowled a brilliant 18th over, conceding just 6 runs. This over was difficult for England to win. Jasprit Bumrah’s tight bowling was instrumental in India’s second consecutive T20 World Cup final appearance. Although both teams scored at a rate of 12.5 runs per over, India’s Jasprit Bumrah gave away just 33 runs in his four overs. His first ball was also instrumental in getting England’s captain Harry Brook’s wicket.
Steven Finn praised Bumrah's skills, calling him the greatest bowler of all time. Speaking to Broad, Finn said, "Everyone else is human. There are good bowlers, there are great bowlers, but then there's Jasprit Bumrah, who's above them all right now. I'd also include players like Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc in that. I think he's from a different world than any other bowler."
