Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco launched the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G in India on Tuesday. The Poco X8 Pro 5G and Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition were also launched. These new Poco X series phones will be available for sale in the country through an e-commerce platform. Both devices have dual cameras on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera. Both devices offer 100W wired quick charging support. While the Poco X8 Pro 5G packs a 6,500mAh battery, the Pro Max packs a 9,000mAh battery. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series chipset.

Poco X8 Pro 5G price in India:
The base variant of Poco X8 Pro 5G, featuring 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, is priced at ₹29,999. The high-end variant, featuring 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, is priced at ₹32,999. Poco X8 Pro 5G Iron Man Edition is priced at ₹34,999, featuring 12GB RAM, 256GB storage.

On the other hand, the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G price in India starts at ₹39,999 for the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The top-end variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at ₹43,999. However, these prices include bank discounts and introductory offers, which can be availed by making payments using HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI cards.

These new phones will be available for sale in India on Flipkart starting March 23 at 12 noon (IST). The Poco X8 Pro 5G is available in Black, Green, and White colors. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G comes in Black, Blue, and White shades.

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G and Poco X8 Pro 5G are dual-SIM smartphones that run on Xiaomi's Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro 5G features a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen, offering the same peak refresh rate and resolution as standard. The tech company claims that both handsets come with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Powering the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. For thermal management, the handset features the Poco 3D Ice Loop cooling system, which has a heat dissipation area of ​​5,800 sq mm.

On the other hand, the Poco X8 Pro 5G is powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. It also comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. To control temperatures during resource-intensive tasks, this handset features the same cooling system as the Pro Max model, with a heat dissipation area of ​​5,300 sq mm. The Pro Max model also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security.

In terms of photography, the Poco X8 Pro series phones feature a dual rear camera unit housed in a pill-shaped camera module. Both handsets feature a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is also provided, offering a 120-degree field of view. On the front, the Poco X8 Pro series features a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. These handsets are capable of recording video at 4K/60 fps.

The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is powered by a 9,000mAh battery, while the Poco X8 Pro 5G has a 6,500mAh battery. Both Poco smartphones support 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. The company claims that the Pro Max model delivers over three days of battery life on a single charge with regular use, over 18 days of standby time, or approximately 30 hours of online video playback.
