The "Little Angels" mission, organized by the RPF, rescues children in distress or lost at railway stations and trains. These children are either runaways, orphans, or exploitation victims. The main objective of this project is the prevention of child labor, crimes, and human trafficking. Many children have been rescued under this campaign, and it was launched in 2018.
Inspector Chandana Sinha, a resident of Chhattisgarh, explained that identifying kidnapped or lost children is a difficult task. She said, "Sometimes everything seems normal at first glance, but the truth later comes out. Sometimes we mingle with travelers in plain clothes to identify suspicious activity."
Inspector Sinha said, "The number is quite high, but we are able to reach only one percent of such cases. We still need to do more." He added that counseling is provided so that they do not repeat the same mistake.
