Lava Bold 5G launched in India, equipped with curved display for Rs 10,499

Lava launched its new 5G smartphone, Lava Bold 5G, on Wednesday. It supports a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and a 6.67-inch display. It retains an IP64-rated build and a 64-megapixel primary camera module. It is paired with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W quick charging. Lava Bold 5G will be available on sale on Amazon next week.

The price of Lava Bold 5G starts at Rs 10,499. It would be available in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage options and would be offered in Sapphire Blue color. It would be up for sale on Amazon from 12 noon on April 8.

It is powered by Android 14, and it supports up to Android 15 and two years of security updates. It carries a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display and supports 120Hz screen refresh. It is equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. In this phone, the memory can be expanded up to 8GB along with virtual RAM. The phone carries a rear camera with an AI-supported 64-megapixel Sony sensor and a 16-megapixel front camera. The phone is IP64-rated against dust and water. Lava Bold 5G carries an in-display fingerprint sensor. It carries a 5,000mAh battery and 33W wired fast charging.

Lava also launched the Lava Shark phone in India late last month. This entry-level smartphone comes with an AI-backed 50-megapixel main rear camera sensor. It has a Unisoc T606 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of dynamic RAM. The phone runs on Android 14 and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. It also has AI imaging features, face unlock, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lava Shark is currently available for sale in the country through offline channels.

Lava Shark's price in India has been set at Rs 6,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. Lava is also offering customers a 1-year warranty and free service at home. The phone is currently available for purchase in the country through Lava retail stores. It is offered in Stealth Black and Titanium Gold color options.
