The official website of NCERT was down on Sunday, and the CBSE and state board exams are going on. The students are not able to access the website of NCERT. NCERT is an autonomous body under the Government of India and helps and advises the central and state governments on their policies and programs for the qualitative improvement of school education.
While trying to access the website on Sunday night, a message stating "Page Unavailable" appeared. The NCERT website remained inaccessible for a long period of time to the students. It may be mentioned that the examinations of various state boards, including the CBSE, are in progress. Students are facing difficulties as the website remained down during the crucial period.
What is NCERT?
- It is an autonomous organization established by the Government of India in 1961.
- It assists and advises the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes.
- NCERT is the implementing agency for bilateral cultural exchange programmes with other countries in the field of school education.
- It also provides various training facilities to visiting foreign delegations and educational personnel from developing countries.
