According to the report, Indians are spending an average of 5 hours daily on social media, gaming, and video streaming. The report also clarified that for the first time, digital platforms have replaced TV as the largest segment of India's media and entertainment industry.

70% of the 5 hours spent by Indians are spent on social media, video streaming, and gaming. According to the EY India report, this change reflects a "digital inflection point". He said, "With the growing influence of digital media, there will be a sea of ​​innovation, new business models, and partnerships."

India ranks third after Indonesia and Brazil in terms of screen time. The total time spent on mobile screens by Indian users is set to reach 1.1 trillion hours in 2024, making India the world's largest digital market. Big companies like Meta, Amazon, Mukesh Ambani and Elon Musk are increasing competition in this growing market.
