Indian batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have faced losses in the latest ICC Test batting rankings, while captain Shubman Gill has risen two places to 11th. Rishabh Pant was disappointed with the bat in the Kolkata Test against South Africa, which has now caused him to drop out of the top 10. Rishabh Pant has dropped four places to 12th in the Test batting rankings, while Yashasvi Jaiswal has dropped two places to 7th.

England's Joe Root remains at the top of the ICC Test batting rankings. His compatriot Harry Brook is second on the list, followed by New Zealand's Kane Williamson at third, and Australia's Steve Smith at fourth. South Africa's captain, Temba Bavuma, who performed brilliantly against India, has moved up two places to number 5. Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis remains at sixth. New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell, England's Ben Duckett, and Australia's Travis Head have each moved up one place to number 8, 9, and 10, respectively.

Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top of the ICC's latest Test bowler rankings. Australia's Josh Hazlewood has moved up one place to number 5. India's Mohammed Siraj has dropped one place to number 12, while South Africa's Marco K. Jansen has moved up one place to number 11. India's Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have also improved their rankings. While Kuldeep Yadav has jumped two places to 13th, Ravindra Jadeja has jumped four places to 15th. South Africa's Keshav Maharaj has slipped three places to 16th.

Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja continues to top the ICC Test Bowling Rankings. South Africa's Marco Jansen has moved up one place to 5th. India's Washington Sundar has climbed two places to 12th. Kagiso Rabada has slipped three places to 14th, while Matt Henry has slipped one place to 13th. India's Axar Patel remains at 11th.
