KTM Issues Global Recall for 125, 250, 390 & 990 Duke Over Fuel Tank Cap Defect

KTM has issued a global recall for its popular street motorcycles, namely the 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke, and 990 Duke. According to sources, the reason behind the recalls is due to defects in their fuel tank caps. This defect was found in the 2024 models of these bikes.

The recall campaign includes the KTM 125 Duke (MY2024), KTM 250 Duke (MY2024), KTM 390 Duke (MY2024), and KTM 990 Duke (MY2024). It's worth noting that the KTM 990 Duke was never sold in India, but this recall may affect owners of other models.

The company has also stated that customers can check the status of their bikes in the 'Service' section on KTM's official website to determine if their unit is part of this recall. The company has issued a recall for these motorcycles, clarifying that this problem is only seen in motorcycles manufactured in 2024. Therefore, affected bike owners should visit a service center as soon as possible to have the fuel cap seal replaced to avoid the risk of any fuel leakage.
