Easy Home Hacks to Remove Lint from Your Winter Woolens
Lint on Sweaters: With the onset of winter, sweaters, cardigans, and woolen jackets provide warmth, but they also bring with them a hassle: tiny fluff or lint that accumulates on clothes. If you want to get rid of it, try these simple tricks.
When winter comes, out come the woolen sweaters, cardigans, and shawls, but with them comes this tiny issue of lint. New or old, this white-gray fluff clings to each woolen garment, completely ruining its look. But don't worry! With things you have in your house, you can make your favorite winter outfit look just like new in two minutes. The easy, affordable tips that follow won't only remove lint but will also increase the lifetime of the apparel.
If you have a lint roller, you're halfway to success. Gently roll it top to bottom over the clothes, and all the lint will disappear in no time. If you don't have a roller, a piece of wide cellophane tape will also work. Wrap the tape around your hand, keeping the sticky side out, then gently roll it over the fabric.
An old-fashioned but effective method is to gently remove lint from your sweater with a regular razor blade. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to the fabric to avoid damaging the wool. This method is especially good for sweaters with thicker yarn.
Rubber kitchen gloves aren't just for washing dishes. Slightly dampen them and rub them on the sweater. The static charge will cause the lint to easily stick to the gloves. This method is especially effective for dark-colored woolen garments.

Wash clothes in cold water and add a little fabric softener. This keeps the wool fibers soft and reduces the likelihood of lint buildup. Hand-washing instead of machine washing, as rubbing increases lint.
Don't store clothes folded flat after winter. First, clean them, dry them lightly in the sun, and then store them in a cotton bag or breathable cover. This will keep the clothes fresh for a long time and they will look like new even in the next winter.
