Motorola Smartphone With Model XT2603-1 Surfaces on Geekbench, Tipped to Feature Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5
Motorola is reportedly working on its next smartphone, which was recently spotted on Geekbench. It's believed to be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7-series chipset, which hasn't even launched yet. According to the listing, the phone will feature 16GB of RAM and Android 16.
Motorola has recently announced the India launch date for its upcoming Moto G57 Power. Now, the brand seems to be gearing up for another phone's launch as an unidentified smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The phone will reportedly come with Qualcomm's octa-core ARMv8 processor, which is speculated to be an unreleased Snapdragon 7-series chip. It may also offer 16GB of RAM and run Android 16 out of the box. Recently, the Moto G100s was also spotted on the same website with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor.
A Motorola smartphone with model number XT2603-1 has appeared on Geekbench with Qualcomm's octa-core ARMv8 chipset, comprising two performance cores and six efficiency cores. The phone's name has not yet been revealed, but tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) claims it could be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chip, which Qualcomm hasn't launched yet.
This unnamed Motorola phone scored 2,636 points in single-core performance and 7,475 points in multi-core performance. The listing showed 14.96GB of RAM, which could be offered as 16GB in the market. The unit tested was running Android 16. During testing, two performance cores achieved a peak clock speed of 3.65GHz, while six efficiency cores ran at a base frequency of 3.32GHz.
Further details about the phone, such as its name, price, launch timeline, specifications, and features, are expected to be revealed in the coming months. Currently, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 series portfolio consists of approximately 22 SoCs, including the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. Furthermore, it's believed that Qualcomm may skip a generation with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5, as the previous Snapdragon 7+ SoC was the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.
