Next-Gen Kia Seltos to Debut Globally on December 10 - Major Design and Feature Upgrades Expected

According to media reports, Kia is preparing to introduce the new generation Kia Seltos. This SUV will be launched globally next month. The SUV will be unveiled on December 10th during an event in Korea.
Currently, the first generation of the SUV is available in several countries around the world, including India. However, the new generation will feature several changes. The exterior will also receive major changes and it would look like a new SUV. It could get Vertical LED DRLs, a new front grille, a new bumper, and fog lamps. The interior also receives several changes and it could be offered with more features than the current generation.
The new Kia Seltos will feature six airbags, electronic stability control, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS system. The current model's three-star NCAP rating is expected to be upgraded to five stars in the new generation.

The new Seltos will continue to offer three engine options: a 1.5-liter NA petrol, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, a 6-speed iMT, a CVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The possibility of a hybrid version being introduced globally is also being discussed.
The new-generation Kia Seltos is expected to be priced between ₹11.30 lakh and ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Seltos is offered by Kia in the mid-size SUV segment. In this segment, it competes directly with SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
