Yamaha Introduces Neo-Retro XSR 155 at ₹1.49 Lakh - Based on R15 V4 Platform

Yamaha Motor India has introduced the all-new XSR 155 in the Indian market. The starting ex-showroom price of the neo-retro roadster-style motorcycle is ₹1.49 lakh. Based on the R15 V4 platform, the motorcycle combines the perfect blend of classic design with modern performance.

The new Yamaha XSR 155 has been launched in four color options: Metallic Grey, Graying Green Metallic, Metallic Blue, and Vivid Red. This bike is meant for riders who like modern technology with a retro style.

It follows the design of Yamaha's bigger XSR motorcycles: a round LED headlight and taillight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat. It has replaced clip-on handlebars for high-set handlebars, giving way to a more comfortable riding position. It also features a simple LCD digital meter that clearly displays all the necessary information.

The XSR 155 is powered by the same engine as the Yamaha R15 V4. This 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine produces 18.1 bhp and 14 Nm of torque. It features a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch, ensuring smooth gear shifting and improved ride quality. This engine is popular across Yamaha's entire 155cc range for its reliability and performance.

The new XSR 155 features the R15's Deltabox frame, which provides excellent stability. USD forks at the front and a link-type monoshock suspension at the rear make the bike both sporty and comfortable.

17-inch alloy wheels with dual-purpose tires make it suitable for both on-road and light off-road driving. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both wheels, which come with dual-channel ABS. Safety is uncompromised.

The Yamaha XSR 155 has a ground clearance of 175 mm and a seat height of 810 mm, making it comfortable for riders of average height. Its total weight is 134 kg and it has a 10.4-liter fuel tank. Despite its light weight, the bike offers excellent balance and control.
