Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the police to remain vigilant.
Security agencies in Maharashtra have been alerted following the massive explosion in Delhi. Police and intelligence agencies are on high alert in Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur. Security checks have been increased in crowded markets, railway stations, malls, and government premises. Police have also intensified CCTV monitoring to monitor suspicious activities. Police have appealed to citizens to remain vigilant, immediately report any suspicious objects or activities, and disregard rumors.
Police in Mumbai and Pune have increased patrols in sensitive areas. Security checks have been tightened at metro stations, airports, bus terminals, and major tourist destinations. Other security agencies are in constant coordination with the police and are closely monitoring sensitive areas.
Tight security arrangements have been made, especially around the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur. Additional police forces have been deployed, and vehicle searches have been intensified.

Given the intensity of the explosion, there is initial suspicion that it could be a terrorist attack, although no terrorist organization has yet claimed responsibility.
