With the beginning of the election year in Rajasthan, the government has started trying to make the animals happy along with the people. Concrete cow shelters will be constructed by the Rajasthan government in more than 1500 gram panchayats in the state. For which the government along with the nodal agency formed at the Gram Panchayat level will build an animal shelter.
For this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot issued a financial sanction of Rs 1 thousand 377 crores on Sunday. Up to 90% of the cost of this construction at the village level will be borne by the government, while up to 10% of the cost will have to be borne by the local nodal agency.
After the decision of the government, now village panchayats, voluntary organizations will be available in the state's gram panchayats to run cow shelters and animal shelters. Gaushalas will be set up there with an amount of up to one crore rupees. Along with this, concrete building sites will be constructed in 200-gram panchayats in the year 2022-2023 and 1300 in 2023-24.
In which the state government will have to bear 90 percent and the executive agency will have to bear 10 percent. In such a situation, financial approval of Rs 1377 crore has been given by the government for construction and operation including Rs 183.60 crore in the year 2022-23 and Rs 1193.40 crore for the year 2023-24.
Please tell that CM Gehlot's last budget had announced this. Which, apart from giving subsidies for 9 months in a year to the cowsheds operated in the state, the subsidy is also being given to the cattle rearers on milk at the rate of Rs 5 per litre.
