Tata Nexon gets new petrol and diesel base variants, cheaper by Rs 1.10 lakh than before

The Nexon Petrol has now been given a new entry-level variant called Smart (O) which is priced at Rs 8 lakh. This variant is Rs 15000 more affordable than the previous base variant i.e. Smart. Tata Nexon diesel gets two new variants – Smart+ and Smart+S. The former is the new entry-level variant priced at Rs 10 lakh while the latter is priced at Rs 10.60 lakh.

Tata Nexon gets new petrol and diesel base variants, cheaper by Rs 1.10 lakh than before

Tata has lowered the price of the Nexon SUV in addition to recently introducing the Mahindra XUV 3XO at a reasonable price. For Nexon, the company has introduced new base variants. Currently, it starts at 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Smart (O) variant, which is priced at Rs 8 lakh, is the new entry-level model for the Nexon Petrol. Compared to the previous base variant, the Smart, this variant is Rs 15,000 less expensive. It appears that the new model has been released to rival the XUV 3XO's entry-level model, which costs Rs 7.49 lakh.

In addition, there have been price reductions of Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 for the Smart + and Smart + S variants. The Tata Nexon Smart+ is now priced at Rs 8.90 lakh, while the Smart+ S is priced at Rs 9.40 lakh.

Tata Nexon diesel gets two new variants – Smart+ and Smart+S. The former is the new entry-level variant, priced at Rs 10 lakh, while the latter is priced at Rs 10.60 lakh. With the arrival of the new variant, the base price of Nexon diesel has been reduced by Rs 1.10 lakh.

The company has not made any mechanical changes in its compact SUV. Tata offers the Nexon with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 120hp and 170Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel unit, producing 115hp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT as well as a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. In March, this compact SUV also got five new automatic variants.
