Cold weather conditions are expected to continue in the state of Rajasthan. Reports say that the temperature in the state is likely to go down by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the coming days, thus worsening the cold weather conditions further. On Saturday, thick fog surrounded Sri Ganganagar right from the morning to late at night. Earlier, the record for the maximum temperature in the 2019-2020 season was 9 degrees Celsius. The cold wind remained blowing the whole day, making the citizens shiver with cold. The minimum temperature here was recorded to be 3.9 degrees Celsius, the lowest this season.

Many divisions of the state experienced chills even during the day. Fog and cold winds lashed more than 15 districts of Rajasthan on Saturday. The maximum temperature in the capital, Jaipur, was recorded at 21.9 degrees Celsius. Due to mild cold winds blowing since morning, the city remained cold throughout the day.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum daytime temperature in Pilani, Sikar, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Bikaner, Churu, Nagaur, Sirohi, Fatehpur, and Jhunjhunu was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius. In view of the possibility of dense fog in Udaipur, Indigo Airlines has issued a travel advisory. The airline has advised passengers that flight schedules may be delayed or changed due to fog, so please check flight status before traveling.
