Rajasthan Weather Update: Temperature Rises, Cold Wave Alert Issued for December 22-23

Due to the influence of a western disturbance in Rajasthan, northern winds have weakened, causing temperatures to rise in the state. A rise in minimum temperatures in several cities, including Pali, Karauli, Udaipur, and Ajmer, on Friday brought some relief from the morning and evening chills. According to the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, the weather is expected to remain the same in the state until December 21st, with slight fluctuations in temperatures anticipated. However, a yellow alert has been issued in 10 districts on December 22nd and 23rd due to the possibility of dense fog and a cold wave. Temperatures are expected to drop from December 24th. On Friday, the daytime weather remained clear in most districts, with bright sunshine leading to a slight increase in maximum temperatures. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Barmer at 33.3 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the coldest areas in the state were Fatehpur in Sikar and Mount Abu in Sirohi, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 4 degrees Celsius.

The disturbance is expected to last for the next three days. The Meteorological Department predicts that some parts of western Rajasthan will remain cloudy until December 22nd. After this, the minimum temperature is expected to increase by one to three degrees Celsius. However, the weather will remain mainly dry in most parts of the state.
