OnePlus Turbo 6 Series Launching in China on January 8: Design and Specs Revealed

The OnePlus Turbo 6 series is expected to arrive in China soon, as confirmed by the company. The series shall comprise two devices: the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the OnePlus Turbo 6V. Prior to the impending launch, the Chinese firm has unveiled the look of the two upcoming devices, featuring a square-shaped camera deco. The OnePlus Turbo 6 shall be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, while the OnePlus Turbo 6V shall be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4.

In a Weibo post, OnePlus announced that the OnePlus Turbo 6 series will launch in China on January 8th at 7 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). During a live event, the company also revealed the design and key specifications of the upcoming OnePlus handset. This information was obtained from X user @yabhishekhd.

The design of both phones appears to be similar. The OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V have a square-shaped camera island on the rear panel, housing the dual camera system and an LED flash. The phones are expected to feature a matte frame with color-matched corners. The OnePlus Turbo 6 was teased in black, silver, and turquoise shades, while the Turbo 6V will be sold in black and silver.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Turbo 6 is expected to have a 1.5K display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. The mobile phone features a plastic body and IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for dust and water resistance. It is confirmed that the handset will feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 onboard storage. The company has teased that it will also feature an Adreno 825 GPU and run on Android 16.

In terms of photography, the OnePlus Turbo 6 will feature a dual rear camera system, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary lens. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera will be available for selfies and video calls. According to OnePlus, the handset will feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security. According to the teaser, the OnePlus Turbo 6 will pack a 9,000mAh battery and support 80W wired and 27W reverse wired charging.

Along with the OnePlus Turbo 6, the brand has also teased several key specifications for the OnePlus Turbo 6V. It is expected to have similar features to the standard Turbo 6, with a few differences. According to the teaser, the handset will feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.

While the Turbo 6 will feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the Turbo 6V will feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It will have the same battery, camera system, and connectivity features as the standard model.
