The Netherlands has just revealed its 2026 T20 World Cup team, set to take place in India and Sri Lanka next month. The selection committee consists of some additions and deletions from the previous T20 matches against Bangladesh in August last year, as there have been some dramatic alterations in the T20 squad.

Also making a return is Rolf van der Merwe, a former player for the national team in South Africa and currently playing in the Netherlands. Further inclusion is that of Bas de Leede, Mitchell Levitt, and Jacques Lion-Sachs. The group had all played in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Region before the tour to Bangladesh.

Colin Ackermann has also returned to the team. He played his last T20 match for the team in November 2024. In the Vitality Blast 2025, he scored 304 runs in 14 matches. 34-year-old Timm van der Gugten has also returned to the T20 team. He returns to the team for the first time since 2024. He also played in the Blast tournament and managed to take six wickets in 10 matches. Logan van Beek, who played his last match for the team in July 2024, has also returned to the team.

Scott Edwards will once again lead the team. The Netherlands are not to be taken lightly. This team has the potential to upset teams and has already caused upsets several times.

The Netherlands has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Namibia, the United States, and India. The team will play its first match against Pakistan in Colombo on February 7th. They will face Namibia in Delhi on February 10th. They will play the United States in Chennai on February 13th. They will face India in Ahmedabad on February 18th.
