Dr. Thejo Kumari Amudala, a well-dressed, ambitious, hard-working, and sensible woman who has a friendly and approachable demeanor, has been active in social justice movements for a long time. She is a woman who, with her modern mindset and traditional values, advocates for the rights of all people as well as performs charitable activities for food, shelter, and healthcare.

She had a firm belief that transformation occurs on both the individual and societal levels. Bringing awareness to serious health issues, removing illiteracy, etc. leads to internal transformation, and the distribution of food, clothing, free study courses, etc. leads to external transformation.

Her social work, efforts to promote peace, support for the educational development of impoverished areas, and defense of fundamental human rights made her a “Global Peace Ambassador” last year. With the beginning of this new year, she has now added a new award to her list:  on the Occasion of republic day the Socially Point Foundation honored her with the “National Pride Award.”

To boost others’ lives by protecting their six basic human rights is her major motive—the Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right Against Exploitation, Right to Freedom of Religion, Cultural and Educational Rights, and Right to Constitutional Remedies.

Disparities between different groups of people, such as the caste system, persist into the modern era. Women are still not given the same rights as men, and child abuse and child labor continue to occur behind closed doors. Corruption, politics everywhere, lining one’s pockets with bribes, and other forms of bribery have only served to encourage this twisted mindset.

Dr. Thejo Kumari Amudala regularly conducts surveys and engages in charitable work in an effort to raise awareness about these inhumane practices and the exploitation of children, women, and minorities. With her persistent effort and helping hand extended to anybody in need, she hopes to create more life savers in the nation as a leader and independent woman.

She currently organizes campaigns for illnesses like AIDS and will soon take action against child trafficking, rape, acid attacks, and other traumatic situations faced by women. She aspires to create a society where girls can feel secure even at one in the night. Dreams and missions with such a broad vision require time to accomplish. Impoverished people who don’t have enough money to educate their children consider her a blessing in their lives.

There is a famous quote: “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.” “Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” This quotation actually demonstrates the power of education to transform a person’s life. Therefore, creating more educational opportunities for rural and underprivileged people actually gives them a future source of support. Keeping this in mind, she donates money to reduce illiteracy in India and offers free IT courses as well.
