Rejecting the political crisis, Gehlot gave indications of remaining CM by asking for suggestions for the budget of 2023-24

Amidst the political crisis in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has sought suggestions regarding the budget. This move of the Chief Minister has once again started discussions in the political corridors of Rajasthan. Political experts believe that Ashok Gehlot made it clear by asking for suggestions for the budget that till the budget at least there is no threat to the chair of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan.
CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday while seeking suggestions related to the budget said that youth is the basis of the progress of the country and the state. With the creative thinking, energy and ability of youth, new dimensions can be given to the development of the country. Rajasthan government is taking historic decisions for quality education, skill development and employment of youth. Gehlot tweeted- 'Decisions like Mukhyamantri Yuva Sambal Yojana, Digi Fest, Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympics, Rajiv Gandhi Center for Advanced Technology, Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence are big steps in this direction. Now taking a step further, it has been decided to dedicate the budget for the upcoming financial year 2023-24 to the youth. Your suggestions are important to us in budget creation. For the last budget also, about 45 thousand suggestions were received. All your suggestions are invited.
Gehlot may be talking about suggestions related to youth and budget. But this is a direct message to the Congress workers and the public that their chair is safe. It is worth mentioning that Gehlot was continuously discussing the budget after meeting Sonia Gandhi in Delhi visit after pressure politics. He reviewed the budget as soon as he arrived.
Gehlot had also indicated as soon as he came from Delhi that this time the budget would come soon. Usually, the state budget is released in the third or fourth week of February. But this time it can be released only in the last week of January or the first week of February. CM Gehlot has sought suggestions regarding the budget till December 31. In such a situation, there is every possibility that as per Gehlot's claim, this time the budget will come soon.
Political experts say that the next budget is the last budget of this government. In such a situation, if Gehlot releases this budget, then there is every possibility that this budget can be popular. Gehlot can issue this budget in such a way that it will help every section of society. On the other hand, Gehlot can tell about the post-budget environment, and how his policies are being liked.
While Gehlot implemented the old pension scheme and announced the regularization of contractual workers before Diwali. Rahul Gandhi is promoting these schemes of Gehlot in the Gujarat elections. In such a situation, Gehlot can make similar announcements in the next budget, which can become an example of good governance for other states including the upcoming Karnataka elections for Congress.
Despite such a big political crisis, if Gehlot presents the final budget as Chief Minister, then in a way it will be considered that he has completed his term by presenting all five budgets. Even if the Chief Minister is changed after presenting this budget, there is not much left to do at the government level. In such a situation, the next CM only works for the implementation of the announcements. At the same time, after this, the government also goes into election mode.
